The Secret to the Best Blowouts in NYC

Want to know the secret to going from good to glam instantly? A GOOD BLOWOUT! Ladies, whether you are a student or a CEO, or any other kick-ass girl boss, there is nothing better then a fresh blowout to give you that extra pep in your step. For me, my hair can change EVERYTHING. You may be thinking, but why would I spend money on a blowout when I can just do my own hair? Okay, okay, I understand some of you have become experts at doing your own hair. HOWEVER, after doing A LOT of research and trying almost every salon on the island of Manhattan, I have found my top two salons in NYC that not only give the perfect blowout, but for an affordable price for every income...$25. Yes ladies--TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS! And these aren't just average blowouts. These salons are some of the city's best-kept secrets because they offer the same quality results as the high priced salons. And remember, a solid blowout can last up to 3-4 days.

For years, I was paying $45-$50 per blowout. That was crazy!!! For someone like me who gets them once a week, it adds up! So here it is... my top two blowout spots in NYC: Studio 34 Hair Salon They have two locations- 201 E 34th st (corner of 34th and 3rd) 250 E 40th (corner of 40th and 2nd - Currently my go-to spot)

I have been to both locations numerous times, and LOVE both. By the way...I am VERY VERY picky when it comes to my hair, and a bad blowout could instantly ruin my night. Some places do too much curl, too much hair spray, too flat, too big-- but Studio 34 does it just how you request it. They give $25 blowouts, and it always comes out just right. I have tried many of their stylists and they all deliver. They like to use the round brushes, which give perfect subtle waves. Their work leaves my hair bouncy, silky, and stunning. It has a great ambiance plus a LOVELY team who consistently make me feel comfortable and at home when I am in their chair. They even gave me my own nickname, and always offer big hugs when I walk in the door. :)

Magnifique Hair Salon 553 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10016 (On 3rd between 36th and 37th)

Want to feel "Magnifique?" This place sure knows how to make a girl feel fabulous. They offer walk-ins and almost always have availability. They, too, give $25 blowouts, and even offer a glass of wine while you are being pampered. Sign me up! I have tried all different stylists here as well, and you can't go wrong with any of them. If you are in a rush or have a busy day, this place knows how to get you in and out (while still looking great). Good environment, good music, and good people!
